The rain poured down heavily onto the streets, the gradient of the hill created a little stream of rainwater gushing down.. Not even the drains next to the road were suffice to accommodate the volume of flow. Under the distant glow of each unwavering lamp posts, the street looks very deserted. Occasionally, cars would drive past and send water splashing everywhere. Even with their headlights on the brightest, it was only up till a certain distance where the frame of the car could be visible.Nobody else was on the streets. No fool would brave such a storm and roam the streets. The storm picked up again and sent strong gales. The gales battered against the trees and buildings, slamming shut any doors that were facing in the general direction. A man appeared on the walkway. He walked with solemn footsteps, his head hung low. His hair, though wet, appeared majestic and covered his eyes. He held a piece of drizzled paper, with ink smudged all over it until it was unreadable. The storm was unmerciful and continued to batter down heavily, yet the man did not flinch nor react. He just kept going, kept on walking in the direction that he is presented with. A resident living nearby took out an umbrella and bellowed towards the man. The man stopped and raised his head towards the source of the disturbance, with eyes of the souless he studied the resident. The resident waved the umbrella in the air and beckoned for him to go over to take shelter. The man ignored the resident's offer and continued to walk. He looked up into the pinkish clouds overhead and felt the cold and heavy droplets splash onto his face.. To others, he seems like a destitute, but far younger for an average one. In truth, he was ditched by the one he truly loves. The single individual that he has been trying to court since they ever met in high school. The man's feelings was utterly shattered, he felt nothing in his heart, it was dead. Tears drizzled down his cheeks, but were covered by the downpour. The sky was crying with him. ------------------ |
